In Fall 2022, Schools4Ukraine has partnered with Sunflower of Peace to conduct a series of fundraising events among our member institutions. We mobilize educational establishments to provide vital medical and humanitarian assistance for war-affected populations in Ukraine.

Since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, Sunflower of Peace drastically expanded its tactical medicine operations and has shipped thousands of backpacks filled with critical medical supplies to the frontlines of the war. In addition, Sunflower of Peace sends solar energy packs and provides humanitarian and financial support to vulnerable populations in Ukraine.

• Sunflower is a dedicated international team headquartered in Boston. Our volunteers are involved in procuring, packing, and shipping medical supplies. We work with Dnipro LLC shipping to ship these supplies to Ukraine and then our partners and brave local volunteers make sure that the supplies reach the people who need them.

• We know what supplies are needed. Our contacts in Ukraine let us know what needs are particularly urgent and dire. We also work with local medical professionals who advise what medical supplies can be essential in the context of war. We distribute urgent-aid backpacks, medicine, medical instruments and other means of survival.

• Our shipments to Ukraine save lives. Doctors who receive them feel enabled to help people in their care. We also hope that with this aid people in Ukraine may feel less alone in their fight.
